Tuesday, August 14, 2018: Saviour of the World!

“We ourselves saw and testify that the Father sent his son as saviour of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God”. (1 John 4:14-15)

May the Name of the Lord be praised both now and forevermore. Amen!

The message of today is very simple. “If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the son of God, God lives in him and he in God”.

We are very privileged to have such great benefit of God living in us. Sometimes, when I think of the greatness of our God, his power, his might, his love; I marvel. He, God, who spoke and the world was made; who created all things by the Words of His mouth; the Maker of heaven and earth; who parted the seas; who raised the dead; whose voice thunders across the seas, the wilderness, the mountains; whose holiness affects all being and changes all circumstances; who shut the mouth of hungry lions and rendered a fiery burning furnace powerless for his people. He living in me? Awesome! I am marveled!

If such happens, what circumstance can I not overcome? Wow! I need Him to live in me ASAP, because I have so many circumstances confronting me at the moment which I must surmount; too many hurdles to cross.

The question then arises… What must I do?

The Word of God says; just “acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God”. Wow! What then is preventing me from doing that? So simple a task and very straight forward. Just do that today: just say, “I acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Son of God” and you will see the power of God manifest in your life. Saying it is confessing it and when you confess it, the Holy Spirit will take over; He will “open the eyes of your mind” to the Will of God; to know the Truth and this Truth shall set you free”, free from everything!

Wait! Do you know one good thing about the message of today? It tells me that this priviledge is not just for those people I call Christians, born again, men of God; not just for that my neighbour Church-rat; no. It is for everyone! It is also for me as well as it is for you. The word says: “The Father sent his son as saviour of the World”. Do you hear that? “Saviour of the world”, not saviour of Christians or born-again because I too can be Christ-like just as you can be also.

Wait again! It also says, “if anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the son of God”. Do you hear that? “Anyone” not apostles or disciples or church workers or brethren but anyone! So I am also privileged just as you are so privileged.

May we, therefore, kneel down in total submission to the Will of God today through acknowledging that Jesus is the son of God and we shall see the power of God manifest in our lives today and always.
